Filmmaker Karan Johar is losing it over The Devil Wears Prada 2, which is now in production. As BTS photos of Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway go viral, he wrote on Instagram, "These BTS videos are driving me crazy… Meryl Streep is my idol for life! I might need oxygen if I don’t see this film soon!"

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is in production, and the behind-the-scenes photos have taken social media by storm. The iconic Meryl Streep, who immortalised the fiercely ambitious Miranda Priestly, and Anne Hathaway as Andrea Sachs are officially back. Joining the global excitement, Bollywood's very own fashion icon Karan Johar couldn't contain his excitement, confessing that the viral clips are driving him 'crazy.'

Taking to his Instagram story on Saturday (July 26), Johar wrote, "These BTS videos are driving me crazy. Devil wears Prada is my all time favourite film and Maryl Streep is my idol for life! I might need oxygen if I don't see this film soon!"

The original film, released in 2006, was adapted from Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel, which follows a young woman’s nightmarish experience working at a high-profile fashion magazine.

In addition to Meryl and Anne, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci are also set to return, reprising their beloved roles as Emily Charlton and Nigel Kipling.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 New Cast Members

New cast members for The Devil Wears Prada 2 include Kenneth Branagh, who will play Miranda Priestly’s husband, along with Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, and Pauline Chalamet in undisclosed roles. Broadway stars Helen J. Shen and Conrad Ricamora, as well as comedian Caleb Hearon, are also set to appear in the sequel.

Plot Remains Under Wrap

The sequel is set to release in May next year and is currently being filmed at various locations across midtown Manhattan this month. While the excitement builds, the plot of The Devil Wears Prada 2 remain under wraps.
