While Kishore Kumars professional life was marked by continuous highs his personal life occasionally witnessed jarring realities that nearly cost him his life. When Kishore Kumar Discovered an Earth-Shattering Truth In a recent conversation with Radio Nasha Amit Kumar shared that in 1981 his father Kishore Kumar was elated eagerly preparing to marry a girl from Kolkata. The wedding was planned as a grand affair with the entire Bollywood fraternity on the guest list. However just ten days before the ceremony the family was struck by shocking news that turned everything upside down. According to Amit the girls family was well-known in Kolkata and the marriage had been arranged. While everything was in place — wedding cards printed and celebrations underway — just ten days before the wedding everything came to a halt when Kishores family discovered that the bride-to-be was already married. Amit said “The thing was this woman was already married. We got to know about this just ten days before the wedding the cards were already printed.” Kishore Kumars Health Was Adversely Affected Before this devastating revelation Kishore had planned to get his son married and then move back to his hometown Khandwa to live a peaceful life. However the incident left him deeply hurt. Amit recalled “Dad said ‘Do whatever you want to do. After that you are getting married you will get settled. I will move to Khandwa and you guys can come and visit me.’” In the same interview Amit Kumar recounted the painful episode of his father suffering a heart attack. He explained how Kishore Kumar’s health began to deteriorate following the wedding fiasco. Kishore was unable to cope with the emotional devastation caused by the betrayal ultimately leading to his heart attack. Though the singer recovered from the attack his health never returned to normal. The emotional distress took a toll on him. Despite continuing to work his health and overall appearance reportedly changed.
