Senior actor Shamoon Abbasi recently opened up about his personal life, revealing that his first two marriages ended in divorce due to financial difficulties. He emphasized that neither of his former wives was at fault for the breakups.
Shamoon appeared on a program” where he discussed his past marriages, personal struggles, and health issues.
During the show, he shared that he still maintains good and friendly relations with his ex-wives, Javeria Abbasi and Humaima Malick.
He explained that after some time following the divorces, both he and his former wives realized their own mistakes, which helped prevent bitterness or hatred between them, allowing their friendly relations to continue.
He added that in moments of anger, they might have blamed each other, but later everyone calmed down and chose to remember each other’s good qualities, which helped keep their relationship cordial.
Shamoon also mentioned that today, not only is he more prosperous than before, but both Javeria Abbasi and Humaima Malick are also leading better lives.
He praised both women for their hard work and achievements, noting that while he contributed to their careers, they earned their success through their own efforts.
When asked about the reasons for his divorces, Shamoon candidly stated that poverty was the main cause, and that his ex-wives bore no fault.
He explained that in the past, his financial situation was poor, and his wives had higher expectations which he was unable to fulfill, leading to their separation.
Shamoon shared that he experienced extreme poverty at one time—sometimes going hungry, living on the roof of a roadside restaurant, and eating on credit until the restaurant refused to extend credit further.
He also said that he used to travel by sitting on the roofs of buses and witnessed hardship, but he was confident his hard work would pay off. Eventually, his fortunes changed and he owned a big house with parking space for four cars.
Although he attributed his first two divorces to poverty, he did not openly discuss the specific demands of his ex-wives, only mentioning that their expectations were high, which contributed to the marriages not lasting long.
