Onion Kheer is the traditional dish of Hyderabad

Onion and garlic-ginger are usually used in most things in Indian food. All these things increase the test of anything, but they are also considered beneficial for health. If someone tells you that kheer is made from onion, then you might not believe but it is true. Onion kheer in the South Indian city of Hyderabad is counted in the traditional confectionery. It does not fall less than rice pudding. The eater enjoys it. If you have not tasted it yet, do not delay anymore. It can be prepared on a special occasion. It is also easy to make. Today we are going to tell you the recipe of this delicious and unique dish.

Ingredients

1 liter milk

2 onions

3 to 4 cardamom

8 almonds chopped

6 pistachios chopped

Sugar as per taste

Recipe

First of all, peel 2 large onions and chop it very finely. After this, put it in clean water and wash it 5-6 times.

Now filter the water from the onion and put it in a sieve and keep it aside. There should be no water left in onion.

– Add milk in a vessel and offer it to the gas to boil. Let the milk boil.

– When the milk comes to a boil, add chopped onion. Reduce the heat of the gas and cook the onion until it becomes soft.

– When the onion becomes soft, add sugar to it. Now cook the kheer till it thickens on low heat.

– When the milk becomes thick, then add the crushed cardamom to it. After this, cut pistachios and almonds in kheer. Then turn off the gas.

– Onion pudding is ready. First cool it in the fridge and then serve it by garnishing it with pistachios and almonds.
