According to the Holiday Calendar of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), in August 2025, banks will remain closed for a total of 15 days in different states and zones. Bank holidays in India are decided according to the zone. Every state can have one to four zones, and all the banks in the zone where there is a holiday remain closed on that day. To avoid this, settle your work in advance, so that there is no problem in the last time.

Banks will be closed on this date

  1. 3 August- Due to Sunday, banks will remain closed across the country. There will also be a holiday for Ker Puja on this day in Tripura.
  2. August 8- Banks will remain closed due to Tendong Low Rum Fat in Sikkim and Odisha.
  3. August 9- Due to Rakshabandhan, banks will remain closed in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
  4. 13 August- Banks will be closed due to patriotic day in Manipur.
  5. August 15- Due to Independence Day, banks will remain closed across the country.
  6. 16 August- In Gujarat and Maharashtra, banks will remain closed due to Janmashtami and Parsi New Year.
  7. 26 August- There will be a holiday of Ganesh Chaturthi in Karnataka and Kerala.
  8. 27 August- Due to the second day of Ganesh Chaturthi, banks in Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Punjab, Odisha, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu and Telangana will remain closed.
  9. August 28- Banks will remain closed due to Nuakhai in Odisha, Punjab and Sikkim.
  10. 10 and 23 August- Due to the second and fourth Saturday, banks will remain closed across the country.
  11. At the same time, due to Sunday on August 10, 17, 24 and 31, all banks will not work.
