New Delhi: PT Usha, President of the Indian Olympic Association, met the winners of the ESOVOS Championship held under the aegis of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in May 2025 at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) headquarters. He honored the champions during the preparations for the third Asian Youth Games, Bahrain, appreciated their achievements and recognized his role in shaping the country’s digital game future.
PT Usha honored the medalist championship medalists-Daniel Patel (Gold, E-Football), Tejaskumar Hasmukhbhai Bhoi (Gold, World Cricket Championship 3), and Pawan Comple (Bronze, E-Football, Asian e-Sports Games, Bangkok). These young champions raised India’s value on the global e-Sports platform with their extraordinary talent, which is an important step for the country’s digital game future.
Speaking in this program, PT Usha said, “India’s e-sport is in the future competent hands, and today’s conversation with the Championships of Waves E-Sports Championship has been really inspiring. Gold medalist in e-Football, Daniel Patel shared his experience, saying, “It was amazing to meet PT Usha. Her encouragement gave me a new feeling of pride in my work. E-Sports is growing rapidly, and I believe that we are only starting India’s global potential.”
Tejaskumar Bhoi, who won the gold medal in the World Cricket Championship 3, said, “It is an honor to represent India and recognize a legendary player like PT Usha.
