It is generally believed that women are more choosy for marriage or relationship. They need a rich, smart and successful partner. But a new international study has completely changed this thinking.
According to a research published in Plos One Journal, when it comes to online dating, not only women, but men also look for more attractive and designed women than themselves. The study also revealed that women also accept their own level or sometimes less desireable men, while men hesitate to do so.
This study conducted on a popular online dating app by Czech Republic included around 3,000 heterosexual users. Researchers found that men show more interest in women who are more attractive and socially desirable than them.
The research team wrote, "Men show interest in women who are more designed than them, while women usually accepted the same level or slightly less design partner."
It was also clear in the study that in the dating apps on which the number of women is low, they get more swipes and messages. This is the reason that the condition of women in the world of digital dating is considered a bit high.
However, despite this, women sometimes accept a little less attractive or less desired men than themselves. On the contrary, the priority of men is always towards more desireable women, even if they have to face repeated rejections.
Researchers also suggested on the basis of this study that if men are really looking for a serious relationship, then they should reduce their standards slightly. This is because they often get rejections on dating apps by approving more designed women. Due to repeated rejecting, a match is made with people of the same level. According to research, the formula of high risk, high rejections does not work here. Successful matches are made among the same people whose design is the same.
