Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya inaugurated and laid the foundation for development projects worth Rs 3 crore in Ward-15 on Sunday.
He praised corporator Mamta Sunere for her consistent efforts and encouraged women's participation in self-help groups for empowerment.
The minister launched an 11-day plantation drive, aiming to plant 11,000 saplings. Referring to PM Modi’s "Ek Pedh Maa Ke Naam" campaign, he said planting a tree in Sawan is like building a Shiv temple.
“Trees absorb harmful gases and give us life-giving oxygen,” he said, urging citizens to make Indore greener for future generations.
