Deepika Padukone Is Among 90+ Women Shaping Culture Alongside Selena Gomez & Angelina Jolie

Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone has just added another feather to her cap as she joins icons like Selena Gomez, Angelina Jolie, Zoya Akhtar, and more on a recent list celebrating extraordinary women. The Pathaan actor has been featured on The Shift’s esteemed list of 90+ Women Shaping Culture.

This global list includes many other prominent figures such as Billie Eilish and Amal Clooney. It recognises women who have made a significant impact through activism, creativity, leadership, and global impact. This special edition pays tribute to 91 years of the iconic feminist Gloria Steinem.

NGL, but Deepika has truly become a global icon, representing India on various platforms across the globe. Earlier this month, it was announced that she is all set to become the first Indian actress to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2026. A few weeks ago, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced Deepika’s name as part of their class of 2026, which also includes Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Rami Malek, Rachel McAdams, Stanley Tucci, and Demi Moore, among others.

On the work front

After stepping out of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film, stirring controversy related to working hours, Deepika will now star opposite Allu Arjun in Atlee’s high‑octane pan‑India sci‑fi action film, tentatively titled AA22xA6, produced by Sun Pictures. This will mark her first on‑screen collaboration with Allu Arjun and her second collaboration with director Atlee after Jawan.

The film is already creating excitement for its strong cast and is expected to be one of the most anticipated releases of next year. Additionally, Deepika is set to reprise her role in the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, with production beginning in December 2025.
