On Friday evening, a couple from Cantt area reached Ramada Hotel for dinner. Husband is a doctor and wife is a lawyer. After dinner, when they came out of the hotel, the woman took the key of the car and tried to drive.
According to the police, the woman did not notice that the car was in back gear. As soon as he started the car, he accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake. As a result, the car rapidly moved backwards and broke the glass at the main gate of the hotel and entered the reception area.
At the time of the incident, two people standing outside the hotel and two other people passing through the gate narrowly escaped. He saved his life by jumping fast. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the hotel, which is now becoming viral on social media.
Inspector of Police Dhananjay Pandey said that there has been an agreement with mutual agreement between the two sides, so no legal action was required. The hotel management has also spoken about not giving up the incident. Hotel manager Pradeep Kumar clarified that he has no complaints with people who came as guests and do not want to move the matter forward. However, when the video surfaced on Sunday, there was a stir in the city.
