Mahindra is gearing up for the next iteration of its annual product presentation which has been dubbed as “Freedom NU”. This time the homegrown carmaker has plenty of concept models to showcase to the public which will lead to brand new production models in the future.

The Chakanbased manufacturer has teased four new concepts on its social media handles. This includes the Vision SXT concept which the company has teased once again. The first it was teased a couple of weeks, the clip shared a partial glimpse of the Vision SXT which showed its rugged front profile that goes in line with Mahindra’s current bodyonframe SUVs such as Scorpio, Thar, and Bolero.

Mahindra Vision SXT: What to expect?

The latest teaser throws a glimpse of its rear profile which gives us some more idea about the upcoming concept prototype. The clip shows the rear end of the vehicle housing two tyres in the loading bed. This suggests that the Vision SXT will most likely be a concept prototype to an upcoming pickup truck. Our best guess is the pickup truck based on ScorpioN.

Two years ago, Mahindra had showcased the Global Pik Up Concept based on the ScorpioN in South Africa. We believe the upcoming Vision SXT could be an extension of the same with a different name. Even the Global Pik Up Concept was showcased with a similar setup featuring two spare wheels on the loading bay. Although the design is set to undergo some ramifications when it goes into production, the heart of the concept will most likely be retained.

Mahindra NFA architecture

Like the rest of the concept, the Mahindra Vision SXT is expected to be built on Mahindra’s new NFA (New Flexible Architecture) platform, which is engineered for versatility and performance, with a strong focus on electrification and sustainability. To be underpinned by a new platform called the New Flexible Architecture (NFA), this architecture will be built in the company’s factory in Chakan and can house various powertrains including petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric.
