Washington. NASA scientists from NASA have recently identified a new asteroid, which has now become a possible threat to the Moon. This asteroid can hit the southern hemisphere of the Moon in 2032. Its size is estimated between 175 and 220 feet, which is equal to a 15 -storey building. Pictures of this space body were taken by NASA’s James Web Space Telescope on 26 March 2025, in which boulder -like stones are seen on its surface.

NASA estimates that it will not hit the earth. The possibility of its conflict is only 4%. But if it collides with the moon, it can make a big pit than a half mile. This can prove to be the biggest astronomical event in the last 5,000 years.

This asteroid was initially considered a threat to the Earth and was given the highest rating ever on the Torino Impact Hazard Scale. But after the new class calculations in February 2025, it became clear that the Earth is safe. But the Moon is under the danger of danger.

According to a study prepared by scientists at Canadian Western Ontario and Athabaska University, a huge amount of rocky debris can spread to space after a collision with the moon. This can become a serious threat to over 10,000 active satellites and over 25,000 tracked space debris. Micro-trackers confrontation can affect important systems such as communication, navigation and data transmission of satellites.

Meteor rain may occur on earth

If the moon collides with the moon, some finely moonlines can enter the Earth’s atmosphere and cause a visible meteor rain. Although, according to scientists, this incident will be attractive to watch, but it will not cause any serious harm on Earth.
