Saiyaara, starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has now become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2025 in the overseas market. The film, which earned Rs 94 crore in the international market, surpassed Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava's lifetime collection in just 13 days. In India, Saiyaara has minted a staggering Rs 273 crore in 13 days.

It has thus been once again proven that no one does romantic dramas like Bollywood! Saiyaara, starring newbies Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has shattered all records at the box office, and has now become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year at the global box office.

As Saiyaara achieved the feat, it surpassed Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, which wreaked havoc at both domestic and international box offices back when it released in February. According to Sacnilk, Saiyaara minted Rs 94 crore in the overseas market in just 13 days, as opposed to Vicky Kaushal's historical drama, which had a lifetime overseas collection of Rs 91 crore.

Saiyaara is also the second Hindi film to cross the Rs 90 crore mark at the international box office, and it is even bigger, given that both the male and female lead of the female are new faces.

Saiyaara is now competing for the highest-grossing Indian film of the year in international markets spot with Mohanlal's L2: Empuraan, which earned Rs 124.50 crore overseas.

When it comes to the domestic box office, Saiyaara has so far minted Rs 273 crore in India, and the buzz shows no signs of dying down. Despite it being two weeks since the film's release, it has been ruling the theatres, making it difficult for new releases like Son Of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2 to secure sufficient screens.

Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara hit the nerve with the young, GenZ population, and post its release, visuals showing the youth crying their eyes out and ripping their shirts in theatres had gone viral, also resulting into a memefest.
