The triennial elections of the Zonal Transplant Coordination Center, Aurangabad, were successfully held on July 15, 2025, at the Endoscopy Department of MGM Medical College and Hospital, Aurangabad. The newly elected executive committee for the term 2025–2028 is made up of Dr Pravin Suryawanshi, President; Dr Ajay Rotte and Dr Shekhar Shiradhonkar, Vice Presidents; Dr Milind Vaishnav, Secretary; Dr Vinod Chaware, Joint Secretary; and Dr Kshitija Gadekar, Treasurer.
Chief Election Officer Dr Sudhir Kulkarni and Joint Election Officer Dr Ajit Damle ensured the election process was conducted smoothly and transparently. Upon being re-elected, Dr Pravin Suryawanshi addressed the members and emphasized the need to promote organ donation awareness more intensively. He also instructed for the establishment of more non-transplant organ retrieval centers across the region. August 13 is celebrated as World Organ Donation Day. On this occasion, “we aim to conduct awareness programs and inspire people to support this noble cause. ZTCC Aurangabad has consistently contributed to this humanitarian mission, and the new executive committee is committed to accelerating these efforts,” announced Dr Pravin Suryawanshi.
