Reliance Industries dominated the ‘Fortune Global 500’ list, topped the top position in India

Reliance Industries Limited 2025’s Fortune Global has reached number 88 in the 500 list. A total of 9 Indian companies have made it to the list, Reliance Industries is the Indian company to achieve the highest ranking in the list. For 22 consecutive years, Reliance has retained its place in the prestigious Fortune Global 500 list. No private sector Indian company has been able to remain this list for so long. However, the company ranked 86 last year. But it has climbed up 67 places from 2021, then it was in 155th place.

Companies are ranked on the basis of total revenue in the ‘Fortune Global 500’ list. The list includes five public sector and four private sector companies. Apart from Reliance, LIC is 95th, Indian Oil Corporation 127th, State Bank of India 163rd, ONGC 181th, HDFC Bank 258th, Tata Motors 283rd, BPCL 285th, and ICICI Bank 464th.

Reliance had recorded a record consolidated gross revenue of ₹ 1,071,174 crore in FY 2025. Which increased by 7.1% on a year-on-year basis. Ebitda also increased by 2.9% to ₹ 183,422 crore. All Reliance’s businesses such as Oil to Chemical, Oil and Gas, Retail and Digital Services had recorded a great growth.

Walmart, Amazon and State Grid Fortune are the first three companies in the Global 500 List. Apart from this, companies like China National Petroleum, Saudi Aramco and Apple have made it to the first 10.
