Triumph Motorcycles is all set to unveil the Thruxton 400 on August 6, and to build anticipation, the company has dropped a creative teaser featuring a coffee cup with latte art shaped like a motorcycle — a clever nod to the café racer spirit the Thruxton series is known for.

The motorcycle has recently been spotted undergoing tests in an undisguised avatar, confirming that the Thruxton 400 is production-ready and offering a clear view of its styling.

The upcoming Thruxton 400 is expected to be powered by the brand’s familiar 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which also features in Triumph’s other 400cc models. This engine is likely to produce 40 hp and 37.5 Nm of peak torque.

With its launch, the Thruxton 400 will expand Triumph’s 400cc lineup in India to five motorcycles.

Based on spy images, the Thruxton 400 borrows heavily from the design of its larger sibling, the Thruxton 1200, which is sold in international markets. The motorcycle appears to feature a classic café racer-style fairing at the front, along with retro-styled round LED headlamps, a raked windscreen, and clip-on handlebars. Additional design highlights include a sculpted fuel tank and bar-end mirrors, which together give the bike a bold, aggressive look.

While Triumph has not yet revealed the complete feature list, the Thruxton 400 is likely to be equipped with modern features such as a digital instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, multiple riding modes, and more.

In terms of pricing, the Thruxton 400 is expected to be launched in the range of Rs 2.50 to Rs 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom). If this estimate proves accurate, the retro café racer will carve out a niche for itself in the Indian market, entering a price and displacement segment with no direct competitors.
