In a horrific incident, two children of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Patna security guards were allegedly burnt alive inside their home by unknown miscreants on Thursday.
The miscreants broke into the house in Patna’s Janipur area and set both the children, identified as Anjali and Ansh, who had just returned home from school, ablaze.
The children’s parents, Shobha Devi and Lalan Kumar Gupta, both work as security guards at the hospital.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police from Janipur Police Station rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation. DSP-2 of Phulwari Sharif also reached the scene and is closely monitoring the investigation.
As of now, the motive behind this heinous crime remains unclear. Police have cordoned off the area and intensified the search for the suspects.
Meanwhile, the residents of the locality have expressed their widespread outrage over the incident, with the victim’s family strongly criticising the administration for its negligence.
