A23 is announcing the launch of the Rummy Indian Open (RIO) tournament on the A23 Rummy platform. This will be held from August to September 2025 and has an INR 25 crore prize pool.
Rummy players can only improve with regular practice and by competing against others of a similar or greater skill. The best place to find this is the online rummy tournaments, where players of different skill levels participate.
Further, online rummy tournaments are accessible, with multiple matches being held throughout the day at pre-scheduled times, each catering to players of specific skill levels. They also provide the competition, challenge, and excitement that pro rummy players look for.
The RIO (Rummy Indian Open) tournament will be held on the A23 Rummy app between 1st August to 30th September. The total prize pool set aside for all the matches of the RIO tournament is INR 25 crore. While the tournament is geared towards the pros of rummy, players of every skill level can participate via the Daily SnG, Royal SnG, Beginner’s Special Tourney (Newbie Tournament) matches.
By participating in the rake-based qualifier matches, players will progress through the rounds to the Weekly Qualifiers, the Monthly Qualifiers, and finally the Grand Finale. Further, 12 of the best players from the Rummy BOSS tournament will also qualify for the Grand Finale.
The Grand Finale will be held as an offline event on 12th October 2025 in Deltin, Goa. It will take place between 48 players (36 from the qualifiers and 12 from Rummy BOSS) and have a total prize pool of INR 2 crore.
Players interested in the RIO tournament may participate through the Daily SnG or Royal SnG and progress to the Daily Qualifier. Alternatively, they can also try out the Beginner’s Special Tourney or Weekly Wildcard Matches. The Daily and Royal SnG matches, Beginner’s Special Tourney, and Daily Qualifier will be held every Monday to Saturday. The Weekly Wildcard matches are scheduled for Sundays at 3 pm.
Those on top of the leaderboard will move on to the Weekly Qualifiers, which are to be held every Sunday at 10 pm. The best players from the Weekly Qualifiers and Monthly Wildcard matches will be able to play in the Monthly Finale, to be held on 31st August and 28th September. Additional matches will also be held on the 15th and 27th of August as Festive Tourneys.
36 of the best players from the Monthly Finale (18 from each) and 12 players from the Rummy BOSS tournament (6 players per month, 3 from the leaderboard and 3 from the tournament) will qualify to compete in the Grand Finale, which is scheduled for 12th October. The winner of the Grand Finale will get to drive away in a Land Rover Defender 110 x-dynamic HSE 2.0 worth INR 1 crore.
