Videos showing submerged basements in multiple residential complexes have gone viral on social media.
The social media handle @GreaterNoidaW posted several such clips from societies including Shri Radha Sky Gardens, Mahagun Mywoods, Casa Woodstock, Amrapali Leisure Park, Supertech Eco Village 1, and Aims Green Avenue. Economic Times has not independently verified the authenticity of these videos.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) recorded 37mm of moderate rainfall between Wednesday night and early Thursday. The showers triggered road cave-ins at two key locations, disrupting traffic and forcing residents to seek alternate routes—further highlighting the city’s fragile infrastructure.

Similar outages were reported across Ghaziabad—including Kavi Nagar, Vasundhara, Vaishali, Indirapuram, Sahibabad, and Abhay Khand. In Noida, residents in sectors 12, 55, 56, 63, and 71 also faced 2-4 hour-long disruptions.
