Zimbabwe vs new zealand, 1st test: New Zealand won the first match of the two -match Test series being played between New Zealand and Zimbabwe. In the first match of this series, the New Zealand team won by 9 wickets, unilaterally. New Zealand had a target of only 8 runs in the second innings against Zimbabwe. Batting first after winning the toss, Zimbabwe’s first innings was reduced to just 149 runs. In response, New Zealand scored 307 runs thanks to the solid innings of Devon Conway and Henry Nichols and took a lead of 158 runs.

Zimbabwe postponed innings

In the second innings, Zimbabwe’s team came out with the hope of better batting, but the wickets falling at regular intervals once again put him in trouble. The team has suffered defeat in seven out of eight Tests played so far in 2025. The second and final Test match of the series will also be played in Harare from 7 August (Thursday). The Zimbabwe team will try to take advantage of the domestic situation, while the New Zealand will land with the intention of cleaning the series.
