Jitendra Awhad, MLA of Sharad Pawar faction, has given a controversial statement. He made controversial remarks on Sanatan Dharma on Saturday. He said that Sanatan Dharma has ruined India. There was never anything called Sanatan Dharma. This ideology has been large of India’s downfall.
Awhad said that Sanatan Dharma has ruined India. There was never any religion that should be called Sanatan Dharma. We are followers of Hinduism. This was the so -called Sanatan Dharma, which stopped the coronation of our Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It was the Sanatanat Dharma who defamed Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. With this Sanatan Dharma, there was a conspiracy to kill Shahu Ji Maharaj.
Awhad further said that many great social reformers were tortured in the name of this religion. People who followed Sanatan Dharma tried to kill Jyotiba Phule. He was the one who threw cow dung and dirt on Savitribai Pulle.
Referring to Baba Saheb, Awhad said that Sanatan Dharma had not even given Baba Saheb to drink water and study in school. Baba Saheb later raised his voice against Sanatan Dharma for this reason. He burnt Manusmriti for this reason. This is why he rejected the oppressive traditions. The creator of Manusmriti also came out of this Sanatan tradition.
Awhad said clearly that in today’s era, these things should be said openly. One should not be afraid to say these things openly that Sanatan Dharma and its eternal ideology are bad.
