Tata Motors announced on Friday that it has signed a preliminary agreement with Green Energy Mobility a subsidiary of Universal Bus Services (UBS) to supply 100 intercity 44-seater electric buses in Tamil Nadu. Tata Motors MoU With Green Energy Mobility The pact was signed in the presence of Tamil Nadu Minister for Industries T R B Rajaa at the Passenger Vehicle Expo 2.0 in Chennai where Tata Motors is showcasing its latest commercial passenger mobility solutions the company said. These e-buses with up to 300km range on a single charge are equipped with electronic braking system (EBS) and electronic stability control (ESC) Tata Motors said. Tata Motors Sales Decline The companys total domestic dispatches declined 12 per cent to 39521 units last month against 44725 units in July last year the auto major said in a statement. Total passenger vehicle sales declined 11 per cent to 40175 units last month from 44954 units in July 2024. Total commercial vehicle sales stood at 28956 units in July a jump of 7 per cent as compared with 27042 units a year ago. (With Inputs From PTI)
