What is NEET UG counseling?
NEET UG counseling is the process through which colleges are allotted to medical students for courses like MBBS and BDS. In this, the college is decided on the basis of your rank, cut-off, category and seat availability.
NEET counseling is done at two levels-
All India Quota (AIQ) - for 15% seats
State Quota - for 85% seats
The counseling of All India Quota is done by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) while the counseling of state quota is conducted by different state governments through their portals.
These are the necessary steps to get MBBS and BDS seat
First of all, you have to register by going to MCC or the state medical website. Without registration, you cannot participate in counseling.
After registration, you have to give priority to the college and course, that is, you have to make a list of the colleges you like and submit it.
Based on your rank and preference, MCC or state board allots you a college.
If you get a college, you have to report on time and show all the documents.
