Digital Desk | New Delhi : Due to the slow pace of monsoon in the capital Delhi, the humid heat has once again made people miserable. On Monday, the heat index was recorded around 41 degrees Celsius , due to which there was a feeling of sticky heat from morning to evening. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no hope of much change in the weather for the next five days . At the same time, some relief is definitely being seen in the air quality.
Maximum temperature : 33.4 degrees Celsius (0.8 degrees below normal)
Minimum temperature : 27.2 degrees Celsius (0.3 degrees above normal)
Humidity level : Recorded between 85% to 68%
Rainfall : It did not rain on Monday
As the heat index , i.e. the effect of heat in the atmosphere, reached 41 degrees, the effect of more fatigue and stickiness was felt on the body.
According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the movement of clouds will continue in the capital for the next few days. Light to moderate rain has been predicted, but there is no possibility of widespread relief at the moment.

Despite bright sunshine and less rainfall, the air quality of Delhi-NCR has improved to some extent. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) :
Delhi’s AQI was recorded at 116 on Monday , which falls in the moderate category (101–200) .
In NCR cities like Ghaziabad, Noida and Faridabad, the AQI also remained between satisfactory to moderate category.
No significant deterioration in air quality is expected in the next few days.
Without rain, Delhiites are feeling the effects of humidity a lot. The weather department may be talking about some relief, but in reality, there is little chance of relief from the scorching heat and humidity in the coming days . However, the improvement in air quality has definitely brought some relief to the capital.
