Heavy rains in UP-Bihar have disrupted life
Monsoon has wreaked havoc in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar (UP Rain News, Bihar Flood News). According to Skymet Weather, the monsoon trough has shifted northwards from its normal position and is now active over the Indo-Gangetic plains. This is directly affecting UP-Bihar.

Moradabad: 104 mm
Lucknow: 91 mm
Bareilly: 86 mm
Prayagraj: 50 mm
Kanpur: 44 mm
Flood like situation has arisen in these states and lakhs of people have been affected. Intermittent rain is expected to continue for the next few days.
Rain alert in Delhi-NCR, Punjab and Haryana too
Rainfall has been continuing in Delhi-NCR since the beginning of August (Delhi NCR Weather). The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain on Tuesday. Also, a heavy rain alert has been issued in the northern, eastern and southern parts of Punjab and Haryana (IMD Rain Alert).
Chandigarh is also cloudy and rainfall activity may increase. The Meteorological Department has advised people to remain alert and avoid unnecessary travel.
