This charging station of Tesla has four V4 Supercharging stalls which can do DC fast charging at a speed of 250 kw and there are four half -and -half 11 kW AC (Destination) charger. The supercharger rate is Rs 24 per kwh, while AC charging is available at Rs 14 per kwh. Tesla says that this DC supercharged on a model y can add a range of about 267 km in 15 minutes, that is, there may be a round trip from Mumbai to Pune.
Charging is completely controlled by the Tesla app, in which the user can see the availability of charger in the app, pre -condition its battery, start charging immediately by applying on a stall. The app contains payment, status updates and complete charging monitoring and for this no login or payment screen is required.
Tesla believes that this is the first Superchargeer station, the beginning of creating a network spreading in eight locations across the country. This includes Navi Mumbai, Thane, Lower Parel and further Delhi NCR (Aerocity, Saket, Gurugram and Noida). Tesla’s website and social media told that this network will make inter-city EV Travel easier.
Apart from opening the Experience Center in Mumbai, Tesla has targeted to spread the charging network and organize servicing infrastructure, with a 24,500 sq ft service center in Kurla West.
Tesla launched its first Experience Center at Mumbai BKC on 15 July 2025. There were two variants of Model Y – Standard RWD and Long Range RWD, whose delivery could start by Q3 -Q4 2025.
