IMD Alert: These days, rain is continuing across the country. Due to heavy rains, there is a flood situation in many states of North India. At the same time, an alert for heavy rain has been issued in Northeast India.
IMD Alert: Monsoon continues to wreak havoc from North, South to Northeast India. Due to heavy rains, the flood situation persists in many states, including Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for heavy rain in many states. Apart from this, a warning has also been issued for fishermen going to the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal.
There is a possibility of light rain with thunder in the capital, Delhi, from 6-8 August. The Meteorological Department has predicted a drop in temperature. Due to heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh for the last several days, the flood situation persists in some districts. Water has entered people’s homes in Prayagraj, Kanpur.
Possibility of rain in western Uttar Pradesh
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in western Uttar Pradesh on August 6, 10 and 11. At the same time, an alert has been issued for torrential rains on August 11 in Varanasi, Jaunpur, Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur and Kushinagar districts of eastern UP.
Weather of Bihar and Madhya Pradesh
Heavy rains have been predicted at different places in Bihar from August 6 to 11, in which heavy rains are expected in Siwan, Madhubani, Nalanda, Katihar, Purnia, Buxar and Patna districts on August 7 and 8. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain at some places in Madhya Pradesh today, while light showers may be seen in the state for the next 6 to 7 days.
Weather department alert for hill states
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Himachal for the next three days, while the rain will continue in the state till August 11. Extremely heavy rains are expected in Mandi, Hamirpur, and Kangra. Heavy rains are expected at different places in Uttarakhand from August 6 to 11. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Tehri and other districts. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for these districts.
Weather of the southern states
The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert in Kerala on August 6. Torrential rains may occur, especially in the northern part,s till August 8. Heavy rain alert has been issued at different places in Tamil Nadu on August 6.
Heavy rain forecast in Northeast India
The Meteorological Department has predicted rains to continue for 7 days in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. At the same time, very heavy rains are expected at some places.
