Dubai International Airport has overtaken Singapore’s Changi Airport to be included among the world’s top 20 airports for passenger satisfaction, according to a ranking by AirHelp, a global leader in flight compensation services.

The ranking evaluated 250 airports worldwide based on three key criteria: on-time performance, customer feedback, and the quality of food and retail services.

Dubai, ranked 18th, received its highest score, 9.1 out of 10, for its food and shopping offerings, surpassing even Cape Town International Airport, which ranked first overall with 8.3 points in that category.

Changi Airport, frequently named the world’s best by international organizations, ranked 34th and was the only Southeast Asian airport to make it into the top 100.

Dubai airport in the United Arab Emirates, always ranked the world’s busiest hub by international passenger traffic, welcomed a record 46 million passengers in the first half of this year, despite travel disruptions caused by the Iran-Israel conflict.
