Gram casserole is not only the best in taste, but it is also very easy to prepare it. Chana casserole is a dish that is the best mix of gram and spices. It is ready in a very short time and no particular material is required to make it delicious. Also, it is rich in protein and fiber, which is very beneficial for the body.

Easy recipe for gram casserole: Ingredients: 1 cup gram (whole gram or boiled gram)

1 cup basmati rice

1 onion (finely chopped)

1 tomato (chopped)

2-3 green chillies (chopped)

1 spoon ginger-garlic paste

1/2 cup green coriander (chopped)

1/4 cup of peppermint (chopped)

1 piece of darling

2-3 cardamom

1 clove

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon red chili powder

salt to taste

2-3 tablespoon oil or ghee

Method: Preparing gram: If you are using whole gram, soak them in water overnight and boil them. You can also use boiled gram, which you can easily find in the market.

Preparation of rice: Wash basmati rice and soak it in water for 10-15 minutes.

Applying Tadka: Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add cumin, darchini, cloves, and cardamom and add tempering to it. When the spices start fragrant, then add finely chopped onion and fry it till it becomes golden.

Add spices: Now add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, and tomatoes and fry it well. Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt and mix.

Add gram and rice: Add boiled gram and soaked rice. Mix well.

Water and cooking: Now add 1.5 cups of water and cover it and let it cook for 10-12 minutes, until the rice is fully cooked. Stir rice in between so that it does not stick.

Add green coriander and mint: When the gram casserole is cooked, add chopped green coriander and mint and mix it well.

Serve: Now gram casserole is ready! Serve it hot with raita or your favorite chutney.
