Mistakes to avoid on rakshabandhan: Rakshabandhan, the festival of unwavering love, trust and security of siblings, is being celebrated on 9 August this time like every year. As you know, the festival of Rakshabandhan is not only a symbol of a yarn i.e. a thread but also a symbol of a strong relationship between siblings.

According to astrologers, while tying a rakhi on the brother’s wrist on the day of Rakshabandhan, the sister must take care of many things like auspicious time, right method, proper direction etc. Because the mistakes made unknowingly often create a rift in relationships. Therefore, do not make any such mistake on this holy day. Which creates a rift in the relationship of siblings. In such a situation, let us know the necessary rules to Rakshabandhan

Do not make these 5 mistakes on Rakshabandhan

  • Keep special care of Muhurta

According to astrologers, it is advisable to tie rakhi on the brother’s wrist only in the auspicious time on any time on the day of Akshabandhan. The auspicious time to tie rakhi on the day of Rakshabandhan will be from 05:47 am to 01:24 in the afternoon.

  • Take care of Bhadra and Rahukaal

It is said that on the day of Rakshabandhan, the brother should avoid tying rakhi during Rahukaal and Bhadrakal. According to astrology- Shastra, both these Muhurtas are considered inauspicious to tie rakhi.

Let me tell you that this year, Bhadra will not be shared on Raksha Bardhan. But on 9 August, there is Rahukkal from 09:00 to 10:30 in the morning.

Keep special care of direction

In addition to Rahukaal and Bhadrakal while tying a rakhi, take care of the right direction. Rakhi should not be tied to the south direction. To tie rakhi, it is considered auspicious to face Vastu and Vastu according to the east or north direction.

  • Do not use this color

Wearing black clothes should be avoided while tying a rakhi. Because black is considered inauspicious in Hinduism. In Vastu Shastra it is associated with negativity. Therefore, on the day of Rakshabandhan, brothers and sisters should not wear black clothes nor tie a black rakhi on the brother’s wrist.

  • Keep these things in the plate

Prepare the plate well before tying the rakhi. One thing should be special that the plate of worship must have things like Akshat, lamp, ghee, sweets, rakhi, coconut, roli and water etc. Without these things, the plate of Rakshabandhan is considered incomplete.
