New Delhi: Comedian Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Canada came under attack again on Thursday, the second such incident in a month.
At least 25 gunshots were heard in the purported video of the attack that surfaced on social media.
Gangster Goldy Dhillon, who is affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has claimed responsibility for the latest attack.
The claim was made through an online post.
“Jai Shree Ram. Sat Shree Akaal, Ram Ram to all brothers. The firing that happened today at Kapil Sharma’s Kaps Cafe in Surrey has been claimed by Goldy Dhillon, affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. We called him (possibly the target), but he did not answer the call, so we had to take action. If he still does not respond, then we will take the next action in Mumbai soon.”
Kapil and his wife Ginni Chatrath owns Kap’s Cafe, located in Surrey, British Columbia. It had come under a similar attack on July 9, which was reportedly orchestrated by the gang of Harjit Singh Laddi, a fugitive wanted in India on multiple terrorism-related charges, and linked to the banned Khalistani terrorist outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).
Last week, Kap’s Café hosted Surrey mayor Brenda Lock and local policemen.
Kapil had shared a video of the get-together on Instagram and written, “United we stand against violence.”
