Known as the towering figure beside Bhai Jaan Shera has not only been a wall beside the actor for over three decades but has also been his confidant. But recently the world witnessed a reversal of roles with Salman stepping in to support Shera during one of the most emotional moments of his life. Shera originally known as Gurmeet Singh Jolly lost his father Shri Sunder Singh Jolly on August 7. His father was battling cancer and passed away at the age of 88. The news left Shera devastated and it didn’t take long for his close-knit circle to come together and support him. Amongst the many people who came together during this time leading this was Salman Khan himself who visited Shera’s residence to personally offer his condolences and stand by his side in his moment of grief. Salman Khan comforted Shera. Soon after that videos and images of Salman Khan hugging Shera and comforting him started resurfacing. This raw display of emotion moved fans deeply with many applauding Salman’s loyalty and compassion and praising the genuine brotherhood between the two. A few months before Sheras father passed away he shared a heartfelt message for him calling him his hero and source of inspiration. This post showcased the deep connection the father and son shared. After the loss he shared a simple emotional post informing followers that his father had departed for his “heavenly abode.” The funeral procession started from The Park Luxury Homes Oshiwara before reaching the crematorium. Besides guarding Salman Khan for years he became one of the most trusted celebrity bodyguards in India handling security for not only Salman but also stars like Katrina Kaif Kareena Kapoor Khan Hrithik Roshan and even international names like Mike Tyson and Justin Bieber through his company Tiger Security. Shera who has been inseparable from Salman Khan for years was unseen from Salman’s side during public events during this period. This reminded me that behind the tough exterior of a bodyguard lies a son mourning his biggest pillar. Santosh Babu took time out to honour his relationship with Shera which showed that some relationships go beyond the spotlight.
