Move over, traditional esports: Ludwig’s Streamer Games 2025 will return from August 16-17, pulling millions of viewers for games that don’t count as “sports” either.

The Red Bull event, live streamed on Twitch and YouTube, features dozens of top creators competing in chaotic, team-based mini-games ranging from the tungsten cube toss to gymnastics.

On July 27 this year, Ludwig Ahgren confirmed the Streamer Games 2025 in an X post. The event will be live streamed on the content creator’s official Twitch and YouTube channels, so that no one will miss it.

The actual venue for the event is the Leuzingher High School in Lawndale, California, and will take place from 1 PM PDT (1:30AM IST the next day) to 8 PM PDT (8:30 AM IST the next day) on both August 16 and 17.

Featuring creators like Disguised Toast, QTCinderella, Kai Cenat, Fuslie, Valkyrae, and of course, Ludwig, these events are digitally chaotic, appealing primarily to Gen-Z audiences, but also millennials.

This is because the participants are not pro-players of any sort, but instead often fumble through game-show-style challenges with live commentary, hilarious sabotage, and impromptu alliances.

The other side of the equation is the community. Fans aren’t just watching a game—they’re rooting for their favorite personalities, inside jokes, and chaotic rivalries. These events blur the line between gaming and reality television, where the win matters less than the memes created along the way.

Last year, Team Red Bull (Ludwig’s own team) too home the gold, which obviously led to a flood of memes accusing Ludwig of rigging his own Streamer Games. Behind them were Team YouTube and Team Podcast, who took home silver and bronze, respectively.

As audiences shift toward creator-first content, Ludwig’s Streamer Games might just represent the future: where fun beats formality, and the next breakout hit is made live, not marketed.
