CM Yogi Adityanath Speech: On Friday, a scene was seen on the holy earth of Kakori, which once again brought the pride of history to life. At the conclusion of the Kakori Train Action Centenary celebrations, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath bowed down to the revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives and called upon the present generation to take a pledge to adopt patriotism and indigenous. He said in a strong voice - "Swadeshi should be the mantra of our life, we will live for Swadeshi, we will die for our country. When India moves forward with this resolution, no power in the world will stop us."
In the program, CM Yogi paid tribute to the immortal sacrifices of Kakori train action, planted a Peepal plant and honored the families of the martyred soldiers. He tied Rakhi at the hands of young girls and presented them sweets and chocolate. During this time a book based on Kakori Train Action was also released, while the revolutionary saga was alive on the stage through cultural presentations.
CM Yogi recalled the historic Kakori train action of 9 August 1925 and said that heroes like Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqullah Khan, Thakur Roshan Singh, Rajendranath Lahiri and Chandrashekhar Azad captured the treasury of British rule and gave new energy to the freedom struggle. He said that on the incident of ₹ 4600, the British government spent more than ₹ 10 lakh to catch him, but could not break the spirits of these revolutionaries.
The Chief Minister carried forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign and said that the tricolor should be hoisted at every house from 13 to 15 August and the message of unity should be given through tricolor trips. He said that it is not only a celebration, but the meaning of the Amrit Festival of independence, which units us against the divisive forces.
CM Yogi appealed to buy only indigenous items in the upcoming festivals - Rakshabandhan, Janmashtami, Dussehra, Deepawali and Chhath. He said that the money spent on foreign products eventually promotes terrorism and extremism, while indigenous purchases empower our artisans and handicrafts. He also called for buying Khadi from Gandhi Ashram on 2 October.
CM Yogi announced that the mango of Malihabad in Lucknow would be exported to the whole world as a "Kakori brand", which would be a symbol of both regional development and tribute to the revolutionaries. He said that our ancestors have paid the price of independence and now it is our responsibility to create strong, self -sufficient India of their dreams. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Tourism and Culture Minister Jayveer Singh and Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal were also present on the occasion.
