Rakshabandhan Special, Nariyal Rabdi Recipe

Material (Rakshabandhan Special, Nariyal Rabdi Recipe)

  • Full Cream Milk – 1 liter
  • Condensed Milk – 1/4 cup (optional)
  • Fresh coconut (grated) – 1 cup
  • Sugar-3-4 tablespoons
  • Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Saffron – Some threads (soaked in hot milk)
  • Drown dry fruits – 2 tablespoons (almonds, pistachios etc.)

Method (Rakshabandhan Special, Nariyal Rabdi Recipe)

  • 1- Keep milk boiling in a heavy bottom pot. When the milk boils, reduce the heat and let the milk be thick while stirring in between.
  • 2- Keep cooking the milk until its quantity is almost half. It can take about 20-25 minutes.
  • 3- Now add grated coconut and mix well. Cook for 10 minutes so that coconut mixes well with milk.
  • 4- Now add sugar, wet saffron and cardamom powder. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes. Now add chopped dry fruits and mix one more time.
  • 5- Turn off the gas and let Rabri cool. You can serve it both hot or cool. Serve the cold coconut rabri in the ax or earthen pot – the taste will be doubled. Garnish by adding some saffron and pistachios on top.
