Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh Junior Women’s National Championship reached the semi -finals

Kakinada: 15th Hockey India Junior Women’s National Championship – Haryana, Chhattisgarh Hockey, Hockey Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh Hockey on Saturday confirmed their place in the semi -finals in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.

In the first quarter-finals of the day, Hockey Haryana won an easy 4–1 win over Odisha Hockey Association. The winning team made a brilliant start to the match with the opening goal of Kajal (second minute), and then Supriya (27 minutes) also took the lead in the second quarter. Captain Shashi Khasa (36 minutes) also scored a goal in the third quarter to make a place in the scorchheet. In the final quarter, Amisha Ekka (47 minutes) scored a consolation goal for the Odisha Hockey Association, but Savi (60 minutes) scored again. Hockey helped Haryana give his team a big lead.

In the second match of the day, Chhattisgarh Hockey beat Hockey Madhya Pradesh 2–1 in the shootout, while the score was 1-1 in four quarters. Yashoda (second minute) scored an early goal for Chhattisgarh hockey; However, Huda Khan (15 minutes) scored an immediate equal goal for Hockey Madhya Pradesh at the end of the first quarter. In the next three quarters, both teams struggled to capture the ball, but no one could score a winning goal. For Hockey Madhya Pradesh, Kajal scored in one of her attempts during the shootout, while Chhattisgarh Hockey captain Rukhmani scored during the shootout to help his team qualify for the semi -finals by scoring both his attempts.

In the third quarter-finals, Hockey Jharkhand defeated Hockey Punjab 3–1 to take the lead in the tournament. Hockey Punjab’s Pawanpreet Kaur (6th minute) scored the first goal on the penalty corner, but her lead was only one minute. Sweety Dungdung (7th minute) scored a field goal. Hockey Jharkhand scored an equal goal, after which Shanti Kumari (22 ‘) and Roshni Aind (46’) scored a goal to ensure victory.

In the final match of the day, Uttar Pradesh Hockey won Hockey Maharashtra 2–1.

After the first half, very close and goalless, Sallu Pukhrambam (36th minute) scored the first goal for Uttar Pradesh hockey in the third quarter; However, a few moments later, Hockey Maharashtra’s Deeksha Nitin Shinde (45th minute) brought the match back on par. In the final quarters of the match, Rashmi Patel (55th minute) scored a winning goal at a penalty corner for Uttar Pradesh hockey.
