French fries side effect: Often people eat outside food instead of home food, but it is not known how harmful it is. Here in the fresh study, information has been received about French fries. Research has shown that eating French fries 3 times a week can increase the risk of type-2 diabetes by 20 percent. It is being told that in this study, more than 2 lakh diet diet was tracked for several decades. Research made it clear that roasted, boiled or mashed potatoes do not increase the risk of diabetes.

Whole potato food is right

This research has actually been published in the British Medical Journal (BJM) and it was also reported that if whole grains are consumed instead of potatoes, the risk of diabetes may be further reduced. Apart from this, Harvard T.H. Professor Walter Willet, lead researcher at the Chan School of Public Health, says, “This message is directly and effective for public health. Small changes in our everyday food can also have a major impact on the risk of type-2 diabetes.”

He further said, “Especially by limiting the intake of French fries and adopting healthy options like whole grains, the risk of this disease can be reduced.”

Information about these things in research

It is being told that more than 2 lakh men and women were included during research. Their diet habits were studied for 30 years. Of these, 22,299 participants got diabetes during this period.

Roasted potatoes are healthy

The study here has revealed that if all the grains are eaten instead of roasted, boiled or messed potatoes, the risk of diabetes can be reduced by 4 %. At the same time, consuming whole grains decreases by 19 percent. Taking care of your health, taking refined grains replacing French fries also reduces the risk of diabetes.
