Man ties wife's lifeless body to bike after speeding truck runs her over in Nagpur, VIDEO goes viral

In a tragic incident, a man tied his wife’s lifeless body to his motorcycle and drove home after failing to get help following a fatal road accident on the Nagpur–Jabalpur highway near Deolapar on Rakshabandhan. A video of the man riding with the body went viral on social media.
The clip was reportedly shot by police who had later stopped the two-wheeler.
Police said a speeding truck hit their motorcycle and ran over the woman before fleeing.
The man was identified as Amit Yadav, 36, and his wife, Gyarshi Yadav, 35, was the accident victim.
The couple, originally from Seoni district in Madhya Pradesh, had been residing in Lonara near Nagpur under Koradi police limits for the past decade.
Police said the couple was travelling from Lonara to their native village Karanpur in Lakhnadon, Madhya Pradesh, when a speeding truck hit their bike between 2.30pm and 3.00pm near Deolapar. Gyarshi fell on the road, however, the truck, did not stop and run her over, and fled the scene.
The husband tried to seek help from passerby, but no one stopped, officials said.
Left with no assistance, the man tied his wife's body to his bike to take her home.
The highway police, who allegedly filmed the viral video, later intercepted him and took the body to Indira Gandhi Medical College in Nagpur for a post-mortem.
“The body has been sent for post-mortem, and we are awaiting the report to register a case,” said SP Rural Harssh A Poddar.
