The India alliance staged a strong protest against the Election Commission, accusing the voter fraud in a large scale in the voter list in Bihar and the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. During this time, the women MP of Trinamool Congress, Mithali Bagh, suddenly fainted in the middle of the march, which made the atmosphere even more tense. Many opposition leaders, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, immediately helped him and brought him to a safe place for treatment.
Opposition leaders questioned the transparency of the Election Commission through this protest march and demanded a clean voter list. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and General Secretary KC Venugopal described stopping the Election Commission from reaching the Election Commission as a big threat to democracy.
