Actress Dia Mughal recently opened up about the many challenges and difficult times she faced while living alone in Karachi.

Dia Mughal appeared on the show “Zabardast with Wasi Shah,” where she spoke candidly on various topics. She shared that her hometown is Lahore, and when she first moved to Karachi, she started working on a project. However, just two days after shooting began, she was informed that due to technical reasons, the shoot was postponed.

During this time, a friend told her that someone else had been selected for her role in the project. Curious, Dia contacted the project head to find out why she had been replaced.

She revealed that she was told her acting was not the issue, but because she was very quiet, didn’t talk to anyone on set, and didn’t socialize, she was removed from the project. Dia expressed how hurt she was by this, as she was excluded simply for not participating in the casual conversations and jokes on set.

Dia described this as unfair treatment and said it deeply saddened her. Coming from a large family where everyone lives closely and supports each other, living alone in Karachi was very difficult for her because she missed her family a lot.

She shared that at home, if she didn’t like the food, her mother or someone else would prepare something she preferred. But in Karachi, she sometimes had to eat two-day-old food because she had no other option.

Dia also recalled that when the power went out, she was alone in her apartment with only a single candle lit. This was a stark contrast to living with her family, where she was never alone and always felt surrounded by people.

She admitted that living alone wasn’t easy and her mind was often filled with worries about whether she would get work or manage living by herself. However, she stayed determined and overcame this challenging phase.

Dia Mughal has acted in many successful dramas, including My Ray, Ishq Nachaya, Kankarand Pehchaan.
