Imd weather forecast: Normal life is being badly affected due to heavy rains in many states of North India. In Delhi, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the Meteorological Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rain for the next few days.

Things serious in Uttarakhand
The situation in Uttarakhand remains serious. Due to continuous rains in many areas here, there is a danger of landslides and floods. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in many districts of the state and appealed to the people not to leave the houses until they are very necessary. The situation in Harshil area of Uttarkashi district has become even more worrying, where an artificial lake is on the verge of breaking. The administration is rapidly engaged in relief work and the area is being evacuated so that a major accident can be avoided.

Temporary ban on Kedarnath Yatra, administration alert
In view of the incessant rains in Uttarakhand, the administration has stopped the Kedarnath Yatra for a few days, taking a big decision. District Magistrate Prateek Jain of Rudraprayag district said that heavy rain has been warned from August 12 to 14 from the Meteorological Center in Dehradun. In view of this, the yatra has been postponed till 14 August, giving priority to the safety of devotees. The administration is on alert mode across the state and monitoring has been increased in sensitive areas.

Rain overnight in Delhi-NCR
The weather patterns have also changed completely in Delhi and NCR region. Due to the heavy rains from last night, many areas of the capital Delhi have been flooded. Especially in low -lying areas like Minto Road and Moti Bagh, there is a situation of water logging on the roads. This has disrupted traffic and people had to face a lot of problems while going to office or school in the morning. The rain has been going on since morning and the Meteorological Department has predicted more rain in the coming hours.

Flood situation in Bihar, schools closed in many districts
The situation in Bihar is also continuously deteriorating. Major rivers of the state like Ganga and Kosi are in spate these days. Due to the rise in rain and water level, water has been flooded in Patna, Bhagalpur, Begusarai and many nearby districts. Panchayats of many blocks of Patna are in the grip of floods, due to which the local people are facing a lot of problems. About 70 percent of a ring dam built in Navagachia has been swept away in strong current, the cost of which is said to be around 15 crore rupees. In view of the threat of floods, more than 137 schools in Begusarai district have been closed till August 14.

Effect of rain in Himachal Pradesh
In Himachal Pradesh, the situation is bad due to rain. There is a danger of landslide due to continuous rains in many high altitude areas of the state. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in some districts here, which will remain in force till Thursday. People living in the mountainous regions have been advised to take special precautions and to follow the instructions of the administration.

Vigilance only rescue
In many states of North India, weather is overshadowing people. Incidents of continuous rains, water logging, floods and landslides are worrying. Necessary steps are being taken by the administration, but the general public should also be cautious, avoid unnecessary travel and follow the advice of Meteorological Department and local administration.
