ICC Women's T20I Rankings: India's Deepti Sharma has risen to second place in the latest ICC Women's T20I bowling rankings, putting her on the cusp of the top spot. Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana has slipped to second place in the batting standings.
Deepti climbed to joint second place in the ICC Women's T20I bowling rankings, sharing the spot with Pakistan's Sadia Iqbal with a rating of 732. The Indian star is just four points shy of Australia's Annabel Sutherland, who has claimed the top spot for the first time.
Sutherland hasn't played in the 20-over format since she took a four-wicket haul against New Zealand in March, but her rating points (736) remain intact.
In the T20I all-rounder's list, Deepti kept a firm hold on third position with 387 rating points, trailing West Indies' Hayley Matthews (505) and New Zealand's Amelia Kerr (434).
India's stylish southpaw Smriti Mandhana slumped a spot to second place with 728 rating points, trailing England's Nat Sciver-Brunt (731). India captain Harmanpreet Kaur leapt 10 places to be banging on the top 10 door, currently, she is ranked 11th.
Among others, in-form Ireland all-rounder Orla Prendergast has been rewarded for some powerful outings against Pakistan by acquiring a new career-high 19th in the latest ICC Women's T20I Player Rankings.
Prendergast was in spectacular form for Ireland during their recent 2-1 series victory over Pakistan, with the 23-year-old making outstanding contributions with bat and ball to claim the Player of the Series award.
The right-hander compiled 144 runs across the three games at an average of 72 and bagged four valuable wickets.
