All the focus for Arsenal this summer on their senior team, bringing in players of quality while still trying to focus on sales at present for a late push of some more reinforcement. Sporting director Andrea Berta has been at the front line of all the club’s activity in the market.
However, it is Sam Hayball, Pathway and Loan Manager at Arsenal, who will be critical in sorting the temporary moves of some of the club's exciting young players. Loans for the youth team have been an area of scrutiny within the fan base with more wanted to help both provide valuable senior experience and hope to elevate player value.
So far, the Under-21s group are yet to see any player leave the club on loan, with some joining the senior group in Spain and Asia this summer for pre-season. With that in mind football.london looks at three players who should certainly be aiming for some senior football this season to either give themselves better chances of a senior pathway at the club or to get a valuable transfer in 2026.

Charles Sagoe JrHaving spent time with both Swansea City and Shrewsbury, Charles Sagoe Jr has been unable to make an impact on the senior stage. Despite a decent return in the Premier League 2, so far the loans have not been able to translate his goal contributions.
At 21, Sagoe Jr really does need to be playing more senior football, and it looks increasingly unlikely that will be at Arsenal. The hope is that this season, wherever he ends up, will give him the platform to finally deliver at the senior level.
Maldini KacurriThe 19-year-old made his senior debut for Arsenal last season, coming off the bench for 20 minutes against Bolton in the Carabao Cup. He was also on the bench for the quarter-final against Crystal Palace before he joined Bromley on loan in League Two for the second half of the campaign.
However, Bromley barely used him, making just three appearances. He started in a 3-3 draw with Salford City before being out of the squad, besides two late appearances from the bench. He now needs a loan that will give him more guaranteed game time, which is always challenging for a young centre-half.
Josh NicholsOne of the players to get more regular exposure during the pre-season tour under Mikel Arteta, Nichols is one of the few whose future could yet bear fruit regarding a senior pathway into the club. To make that next step, though, he needs to get some regular senior game time, and the 19-year-old should aim for that this season.
A quick overlapping right-back, Nichols has both Ben White and Jurrien Timber ahead of him at Arsenal. If he can find the right move and get guarantees over minutes, then the Gunners might yet have another Hale End graduate to add to their ever-growing list of success stories.
