New Delhi: Heavy rains are continuing in many states of the country. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in many parts of the country today i.e. Wednesday. A warning of torrential rains has been issued in Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Eastern UP and Western UP on Wednesday.
Along with this, there is a possibility of extremely heavy rains in some parts of Jammu, Assam, West Bengal and Sikkim.
The weather department said that Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Telangana will witness a fresh spell of heavy rains from August 13 to 17, while Telangana is likely to receive extremely heavy rains on August 13 and 14. Konkan, Goa and Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra are expected to receive heavy rains between August 15 and 18.
