North Delhi Strikers' skipper Harshit Rana has been fined for aggressive send-off in a match 19 of Delhi Premier League (DPL) against the West Delhi Lions at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
The event occurred during the third over of the Lions' chase when Rana sent Ayush Doseja packing while defending a score of 165 runs. When Rana got the wicket, he seemed to tell the batter to "go away," as observed by match officials.

In a statement, the DPL affirmed that Rana had admitted to carrying out a Level 1 offence under Article 2.5 of the Code of Conduct, which involves the use of words, physical actions, or gestures that can lead to an aggressive response from another player.
He accepted the Match Referee's ruling and was fined 10% of his match fees. Rana's delivery when he dismissed the player was so hot that it split one of the bails in half.
This is the second time Rana has been penalised. During IPL 2024, he received a one-match suspension for an identical send-off in a match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals.
