Former The Apprentice contestant Harpreet Kaur has been flooded with praise for her "raw and real" social media post.

The businesswoman landed an investment from Lord Alan Sugar in 2022, bagging £250,000 for her dessert firm Oh So Yum.

She didn't just achieve business success from the BBC programme, but also discovered romance, as Harpreet met her now-spouse Akshay Thakrar during filming.

Since rising to prominence, Harpreet has kept supporters informed about her enterprise and personal journey through social media.

In an earlier post this week, she offered followers a glimpse into her reality, participating in the "Let me deinfluence you" movement, reports the Mirror.

She proceeded to share a collection of images from her daily life, beginning with a screenshot from her photo gallery as she penned: "We all take 62527 pictures before we find one cute one. And yes somehow that's the cameraman's fault for not capturing our 'true beauty' in one shot."

She continued: "We all have bad skin days/weeks/months. Nobody feels or looks their best at all times."

Next to a photograph of her morning meal, she noted: "No one has the perfect aesthetic life. Yes that's a chip in the bowl. Yes that banana isn't even sliced properly. No this is not in my new balanced lifestyle diet but I didn't care as I just needed to get food in my belly.

"Sometimes you look confident but actually on the inside you feel completely different. I hated how my dress fit me here, felt huge, didn't like my hair or make-up. I always remind myself that these are such superficial things that really do not matter in the grand scheme of things.

"A relaxing break sometimes just means you have more work to get back to. Everyone is always juggling so much and sometimes I feel guilty for even thinkingggg I am busy when there are so many people out there juggling more. Eg how do all the mums and dads do it?! I have no excuse."

She wrapped up her candid post by declaring: "Never compare yourself to anyone you see online. The nature of social media is that we are all guilty of posting only the bits that we want others to see - but that's no different to going out in public and putting your best face on. We all have a vulnerable side to us.

"Don't ever feel less than anyone else because you think they are achieving more, or seem more confident, seem more successful, seem happier than you. Social media is a small snippet of someone's world ... use it as inspiration not comparison."

"This is so beautiful- you're so right! I can relate girl thank you for sharing xxx," influencer Serena Kaur Ojalae replied.

TV chef Nisha Parmar added: "Love this! Raw and real! Miss you! Hugs."

"You are so right. It's nice to see real life people and feelings on socials," one fan also wrote.

One follower commented: "Great post Harpreet! It's really refreshing to hear these things and this vulnerability from someone who's a high achiever and in the public eye, so thank you. We can all learn to take what we see on SM with a (big) pinch of salt :)."

Another added: "This is so true and so real love it thank you!!"

After her victory on The Apprentice in 2022, Harpreet parted ways with Lord Sugar and subsequently left her £300,000 company the following year, but she maintains that she has no regrets.

In a recent interview with Metro, she said: "I wouldn't say I have any regrets. I'm a no regrets person from a personal and professional front. I honestly think that everything that you encounter, achieve or don't achieve in life, it's just a life lesson.

"So I have no regrets, but a hell of a lot of lessons that will only guide me, shape me in my future and actually I really hope to be able to share some of those in the future in different formats that can help me inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, or even as a South Asian woman, to help others feel confident that you've just got to give it your best.

"We're all human, we're all going to make mistakes and if we approach everything with, 'I don't want to regret this one day,' we're never going to get anywhere. So no regrets, but lots and lots of lessons."
