Veteran actor Gohar Rasheed has shared a deeply emotional post on social media, celebrating a major milestone in his personal life — his mother, Farzana Munir, has made her acting debut in later life.

Gohar posted a heartfelt note alongside a photo with his mother, expressing love, admiration, and pride. He recalled a special memory from his childhood: his very first day at school. As a scared little boy, he was comforted by his mother, who stayed by his side to ease his fears.

“She used to drop me off at school, pick me up, take care of me, and give me the courage to face the world,” he wrote. “Years later, when I started acting, I felt the same nervousness as I did back then. But now, the roles have reversed.”

This time, it was Gohar who dropped his mother off on her first day of shooting. “She was nervous, a little sad — just like I had been all those years ago. And now it was my turn to reassure her,” he shared.

He also thanked his wife, actress Kubra Khan, for being a strong support for his mother. Kubra helped Farzana understand the nuances of acting and gave her the confidence she needed to step into this new world.

Farzana Munir has made her acting debut in the drama serial The samewhere her performance and character have already received praise. Gohar also extended gratitude to the cast, crew, and director of the project for treating his mother with kindness and respect.

“She is braver than me, and a better actor too,” Gohar concluded — a proud son paying tribute to a remarkable woman who continues to inspire, no matter the age.
