Aam Aadmi Party’s Student Wing, Association of Students for Alternative Politics (SAP), shared important information about the student union elections in Delhi University and its associated colleges. On Friday, in a meeting with the members of the Asp, the party’s Delhi Pradesh convenor Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the SAP will help students participate in the DU Students Union elections. Interested students can apply between August 15 to 25. He said that essap will help students coming from common homes, who are unable to contest elections due to economic reasons.
Students will have to give 50 proposals to participate in DUSU election and 10 for colleges. In addition, they have to tell their objectives in a one -minute video and 500 words. The goal of the Essap is to strengthen democracy through alternative politics, so that students can choose clean politics.
Saurabh Bhardwaj greeted all the countrymen on Independence Day during a press conference at the party headquarters on Friday. He said that freedom fighters had a dream to choose their governments, but in recent years there have been many flaws in democracy. He gave examples and said that student politics is the foundation of democracy.
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that at present, the use of money power is clear in student politics of Delhi University. Students of ordinary families cannot even think of participating in elections. He said that before the election, student leaders organize big events, affecting the students.
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the Asap has resolved to strengthen democracy. On the occasion of Independence Day, it is being a new beginning. To ensure transparency in the student union elections, SAP has launched an ideal political system.
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that interested students can apply from August 15 to August 25. They have to bring a proposal to support 10 students of their college. In addition, one minute video and 200 to 500 words have to be presented to your election approach.
