New Fee Structure for Competitive Exams in Bihar

On Friday, Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced a standardized fee of 100 rupees for the preliminary exams of all competitive tests in the state, while stating that there will be no fee for the main examinations. This initiative is expected to benefit millions of young individuals aspiring for government jobs.

This decision comes just a few months ahead of the state assembly elections. Kumar expressed his satisfaction on social media, stating, "I am pleased to announce that we have decided to standardize the fees for preliminary examinations conducted by various commissions for state-level government jobs, providing significant relief to candidates."

The Chief Minister further elaborated, "Candidates appearing for the preliminary exams will only be required to pay a fee of 100 rupees. Those who pass the preliminary exam and qualify for the main exam will not have to pay any examination fees."

Recruitment exams for state government positions are conducted by various bodies, including the Bihar Public Service Commission, Bihar Staff Selection Commission, Bihar Technical Service Commission, Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission, and the Central Constable Selection Board.

Kumar emphasized that providing government job opportunities to the youth of the state has always been a priority for his administration. He stated, "Our government has taken several concrete steps to provide opportunities to the youth and secure their future. This decision has been made in the interest of the young population of Bihar."
