During the pre-release event for 'Thalaivan Thalaivii', director Pandiraj disclosed a past disagreement with Vijay Sethupathi, which led to a decision not to collaborate. He recounted how they reconciled at a birthday celebration for director Mysskin. Pandiraj mentioned, "I was uncertain whether to approach him or keep my distance.
